Highlighting the public welfare policies and ideals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi across the country and on the occasion of his birthday, an exciting one-day football tournament was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha at the ground of Puchra Ashram in the Barabani block. Organized to encourage rural youth towards sports and expand the scope of sporting activities, about twelve prominent teams from the area participated enthusiastically in this tournament.
From Sunday morning, the Puchra Ashram ground resonated with the presence of local sports enthusiasts and spectators. Through intensely exciting matches, Charmpur Udayan Sangha and Damohani Eleven advanced to the final of the competition. In this title-deciding final match, both teams gave their best and fought a neck-and-neck battle. Since neither team could score a goal within the regulation time, a tie-breaker was resorted to determine the match's result. Ultimately, handling the nervous tension, Charmpur Udayan Sangha defeated Damohani Eleven in the tie-breaker to emerge victorious. The fighting spirit of the players from both teams won the hearts of the spectators present.
As the main attraction at this lively and colorful event, eminent personality of Barabani and respected father of MLA Shri Arijit Roy, Amal Roy, and mother Suchandra Roy were present. Their presence greatly enhanced the significance of this tournament. Additionally, Supriyo Roy played a special role in the event on behalf of the Yuva Morcha. Also present at the event were Barabani Block Yuva Morcha President Bikash Bauri, Mandal President Bapi Bauri, Kartik Dey, Sanjay Bauri, along with various levels of BJP leadership and workers. Alongside them, many prominent social workers and sports lovers of the area were present at this noble event to encourage the players. At the end of the match, trophies were handed over to the winner and runner-up teams, and the organizers conveyed a message to organize more such sports competitions in the future.
