'Yuvo Sathi' camps organized across the state on Mahashivratri, long queues formed

Asansol: On the occasion of Mahashivratri, 'Yuvo Sathi' camps have been organized in all the districts of the state. Yuvo Sathi Yojana forms are being given and submitted in these camps. Along with this, forms related to allowances for agricultural laborers and new level forms of Lakshmi Bhandar Yojana are also being made available. A large number of people are reaching government camps and long queues are being seen. People standing in the line say that whichever party the government belongs to, if they get the benefits of the schemes then they will definitely avail them. People say that they are concerned with convenience. However, some people also say that instead of giving allowances, it is better to provide employment to the unemployed, so that they do not have to go to other states for work. According to the state government, under this scheme, unemployment allowance of Rs 1500 will be given every month to tenth pass unemployed boys and girls aged 21 to 40 years. This assistance will continue for a maximum of five years or until employment is obtained. For this, special camps are being organized in all the 294 assembly constituencies of the state, which will run till 26th February. People who are already employed or taking benefits of other government schemes will not be eligible for this scheme. The government has clarified that beneficiaries will continue to be eligible for certain scholarships. Under this scheme, Rs 18,000 will be provided annually and total assistance up to Rs 90,000 in five years. The scheme will be reviewed after five years and a decision will be taken on continuing the assistance as per eligibility. The government had earlier talked about implementing this scheme from August, but later it was announced that this scheme will start from April 1, 2026. For this, the process of filling and submitting the form will run from 15th February to 26th February.
