Fearless Bengali, Asansol: On the day of Mahashivaratri, a special camp of 'Yub Sathi' project has been organized across the state. Project forms are being collected and submitted in this camp in various districts of West Bengal. Many people have gathered in the camp since morning, long lines were seen. Apart from the 'Yub Sathi' scheme, Krishi Labouree Bhatar form and new level form of Lakshmi Bhandar scheme are also being given in these camps. The presence of young men and women in these camps organized under government initiative was palpable. Many people standing in the queue said that no matter which government party they belong to, if they get the benefits of the project, they will accept it. In his words, getting benefits is more important than political identity. But like some youth, instead of giving allowance, it is more important to create opportunities for permanent employment, so that one does not have to go to another state for work. According to the state government's claim, under the 'Yub Sathi' project, unemployed youth who have passed secondary school between 21 to 40 years of age will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500. This assistance will continue for a maximum of five years or until you do not get a job. That means, financial assistance can be up to Rs 18 thousand in a year and total financial assistance can be up to Rs 90 thousand in five years. This special camp is going on in 294 assembly constituencies of the state. It is reported that the process of filling and submitting the form will continue from 15th February to 26th February. The government had earlier announced that the project would come into effect from April 1, 2026. The next decision will be taken after reviewing the project after five years.
