On the 125th birth anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the Yuva Krida Utsav 2026 was organized at the courtyard, attended by Minister Dr. Ajay Kumar Poddar.

Nirbhik Bangla, Shyam Das, Asansol: The Youth Sports Festival 2026 was held at the KCC Ground adjacent to Kulti Club Road on Monday to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee. The area was filled with enthusiasm and excitement from the morning, surrounding the festival. At the beginning of the event, wreaths were laid and tributes were paid to Syama Prasad Mukherjee's portrait. Then, the national flag was hoisted and the event was officially inaugurated through the national anthem. On the occasion of the festival, various sports competitions, traditional rural games, and cultural events were organized. Competitors of different ages participated in the competition. The present spectators also enjoyed the event. The state's Minister of Public Health Engineering and PWD, Dr. Ajoy Kumar Poddar, was present as the chief guest at the event. He called upon the youth society to participate more in sports and cultural activities and highlighted various aspects of Syama Prasad Mukherjee's ideals and career. The organizers of the festival said that the sports festival was organized to promote physical fitness, social harmony, and cultural practice among the youth.
