On the occasion of Basant Panchami, youth of Bengal were seen celebrating Valentine's Day, dated each other in the park and restaurant.

Saraswati Puja in Asansol, West Bengal is not just the worship of Vidya but also a special day for the youth to strengthen love, friendship and relationships. On this day, youth try to feel closeness to each other and first love, which is why in West Bengal it is often called 'Bengali Valentine's Day'. On the day of Saraswati Puja, students offer their book copies to the Goddess and seek her blessings. After this the whole day is open for them. Schools and colleges remain open, but the atmosphere is not conducive to learning. Young people, dressed in traditional clothes, are seen roaming with friends and sometimes this day also witnesses the first date. The color of Basant Panchami is considered yellow and this color is visible everywhere in Bengal. Girls roam in sarees and boys in kurta-pajama. Many young couples are seen walking hand in hand in similar colored clothes. This view makes this day even more special. A glimpse of which was seen in Coffee House located in Rabindra Bhawan, Asansol, Shatabdi and Nehru Park along with Centrum and Galaxy Mall, where the crowd of youth had gathered from the morning to such an extent that the crowd continued till about 8 to 9 in the night, where the youth were seen giving each other red roses and various types of gifts. If the people who saw this are to be believed, then this is the first staircase of love awakened in the hearts of these youth for each other, climbing which the youth Will write his next definition of love, the definition that will be a new chapter in his life.
