Nirbheek Bengali,Salanpur, West Vandaman: There is widespread excitement in Salanpur block of West Vandaman district over the omission of names from the voter list. Thousands of people are in extreme worry as their names are suddenly removed from the list despite having been voting for many years. Complaint: Despite proper SIR (Special Intensive Revision) application and submission of required documents, many residents' names were not included in the final voter list. The victims claim that they are Indians by birth and have been participating in the democratic process for a long time. As a result, this sudden change in name has created a fear among them about their citizenship. Hundreds of victims went to the District Magistrate's office on Wednesday and filed an application before the Tribunal. Among them, an old woman is seen standing helplessly holding a document. Complaint raised, name intentionally omitted even after correct information was submitted. This situation has arisen due to the demands of a section of the local people, lack of adequate monitoring by the Election Commission and negligence of the administration, due to which the common people are suffering. In this situation, Trinamool Congress is standing by the victims. With the help of party initiative and the outgoing MLA Vidhana Soudha of Barabani Assembly, assistance is provided in filling the application forms and bus arrangements are also made to reach the District Magistrate's office. Bhola Singh, co-president of Trinamool Congress, Salanpur block, alleging against the Central Government and the Election Commission, said, "The names of common people are being omitted from the voter list. No one can win the elections by using such manipulations. Those whose names have been omitted, Trinamool Congress is on their side." The Trinamool leadership claims that their movement will continue until the name of every eligible citizen is included in the voter list again.
