ভোটার তালিকা থেকে নাম বাদ পড়ার অভিযোগে হিঙ্গলগঞ্জে পথ অবরোধ, হস্তক্ষেপে পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে

Nirbheek Bengali, Hingalganj, Basirhat, Wednesday: There was an uproar over the allegation of omission of names from the supplementary voter list in the Bamuphat–Rameshwarpur Gurm Panchayat Khadul Gurm of Bhingalganj assembly of Basirhat. Angry villagers joined the protest by blocking Hasnabad-Hingalganj road. The protesters set fire to the road and set up a barricade, resulting in a complete stoppage of traffic on this important road. As a result, the pilgrims faced extreme suffering. Locals complain that around 150 people's names in booth number 30 of Khadhar Grameen have suddenly been left out of the supplementary list. They claim that most of them have voted multiple times in the previous elections. Yet the villagers became angry at the name being dropped without any apparent reason. According to the villagers, they approached the administration several times but did not get any solution. Therefore, I was forced to go on the road and choose the path of obstruction. The protesters have warned that if the names are not re-listed soon, they will join in a bigger protest in the coming days. Central forces reached the spot after traffic stopped for a long time due to the blockade. With their intervention the blockade is lifted and the situation comes under control. Locals are now looking forward to the next steps of the administration
