Asansol, West Bengal minister Agnimitra Paul launched a sharp political attack on the Trinamool Congress. She claimed that the Trinamool Congress is now divided into several factions, making it difficult to determine which is the real Trinamool. She stated that while some are organizing programs under the Shahid Minar, others are at Hazra Road in Kalighat, highlighting the politics of Team A, Team B, and Team C.
Referring to the Martyrs' Day on July 21, Agnimitra Paul said the event has now become entirely political. She accused Trinamool of appropriating Congress's legacy, but the commission report mentioned earlier has yet to be made public.
Mocking Abhishek Banerjee, the minister said if he is called a tiger, a tiger belongs in the jungle. Sarcastically, she added that climbing onto a car bonnet and putting hands in pockets doesn’t make someone a tiger.
Targeting Anubrata Mondal, Agnimitra Paul said he was once called Trinamool's 'tiger', but after returning from jail, his roar is no longer heard. She also referenced Mondal’s statement hinting at internal power struggles within the party behind his imprisonment.
Finally, Agnimitra Paul said the people of the state have been watching the 'tiger fights' for years and are now tired of it. She declared, 'The people of West Bengal don’t want tigers or lions—they only want development.'
