Trinamool councilor Sanjay Nonia resigns due to father's serious illness

Asansol, West Bengal Sanjay Nonia, councilor of ward number 58 under Borough-VIII of Asansol Municipal Corporation, has resigned from his post. He told in the letter addressed to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner that his father has been seriously ill for a long time and is under continuous medical treatment. Given his health condition, the family requires constant care and support. In his resignation letter, Sanjay Nonia has said that being a son, his first responsibility in this difficult time is to serve his father and ensure his recovery. For this reason, he has decided to resign from the post of councilor with immediate effect. He has requested the Commissioner to accept his resignation in view of his serious family circumstances. In the letter, he has also expressed his gratitude towards the Municipal Corporation Administration for its cooperation and understanding. Sanjay Nonia's resignation has come at a time when many development works are going on at the ward level. His decision to step down has intensified the discussion in local political and administrative circles. Now all eyes are on what decision is taken by the Municipal Corporation Administration on resignation. A copy of the resignation has also been sent to the Mayor, AITC West Bardhaman District President Narendra Nath Chakraborty, Kulti Town-2 Block President Kanchan Rai and Borough Chairman-VIII.
