Fearless Bengali, Asansol, June 6: A massive campaign has started in the political circles of West Bengal around a social media post by Utpal Singh, Trinamool Congress Council member of Asansol city. In his post, he raised several questions regarding the so-called "purification campaign" going on in the state and allegations of corruption in coal, sand and iron business. In a post published on social media, Utpal Singh claimed that according to his belief, some so-called "Bishwas Bhajan" persons were involved in the mining of coal, sand and iron in West Bengal. He alleges that many honest and dedicated workers have been misguided due to greed, pressure and political competition. He further mentions in the post, that due to the current situation, many of those who were once known as good political workers have got involved in crime. For this, he blamed some leaders who, instead of developing ideal political workers, encouraged so-called chauvinists and anti-social forces. Utpal Singh further said that if there is real purification of society and politics, it is necessary to take strict action against such people. As a Bengali, he will be happy if the culprits are arrested, he mentioned in the post. Although the name of any person or leader was not mentioned in his entire post, speculations have started in the political circles around this comment. Different areas are being interpreted differently. Till now no official response has been received from Trinamool Congress regarding this post. Moreover, it was not possible to independently verify the veracity of the allegations raised in the post. According to political observers, such remarks by a public representative of the ruling party in a public forum are being considered as a significant event in Western politics.
