Local residents complain that diesel pumping work was going on in that area for a long time in the dark of night. As soon as the matter came to notice, the local residents raided the godown in the presence of the police administration and brought to light the issue of suspected diesel stock. At the center of the allegation is Trinamool Panchayat Samiti's vice-president and ICL's Trinamool trade union leader Sabir Miyan. Locals claim that diesel vending business was being run behind a club for a long time. Besides, allegations have been raised that the Panchayat relief fund is being stored in Triple Godown. According to local sources, the accused has three godowns. Among these, allegations of diesel being stocked in two godowns have come to light. But it is said that one house has not been opened yet. On receiving the news, Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate's Rani Ganj police station reached the spot and started investigation. Where the huge amount of diesel came from, for what purpose it was stored and who else could be involved with it, all these things are being investigated, said police sources. A section of the local residents claimed that allegations of involvement in various criminal activities had been raised against the accused in the past also. They claim that there are many allegations like robbery, bombing, beatings, looting and extortion from workers. However, the veracity of these allegations has not yet been officially confirmed. According to police sources, investigation has been started based on the complaint and a search is underway to find the accused. Apart from this, it is also being investigated whether any other organization or organization is associated with the diesel stock and possible waste disposal. Meanwhile, some residents of the area have alleged that such anti-social activities are being carried out with the help of some officials of ICL.
