Trinamool Congress workers burnt his ashes to protest against Chandra Mandal who wanted to leave Trinamool Congress and join BJP. According to local sources, during the protest, some workers were hit with shoes. At the same time, symbolic protest is expressed by wearing a garland of shoes. The workers participating in the protest are also heard raising slogans like “জমি মাফিযা”. Trinamool President of Panchgram region Apoorva Kumar Mandal said, this defection incident will not have any impact on the election results of Pranab Chandra Das. He claimed, Pranab Chandra Das will win. He also said that Chief Minister Mamata Bandhyopa Dhaya had feared such a situation earlier, that is why the name of the candidate in the concerned assembly center was not announced earlier. There has been an increase in political pressure in the area centering on the incident.
