Nirbheek Bengali, Jhardhagram: Keeping in view the upcoming 2026 assembly elections, Trinamool Congress has made major changes in its candidate list for Jhargram district. In almost all the seats except Nayagram assembly centre, parties have created new equations by changing candidates. The biggest surprise has come as the change of center of Forest Minister Birbaha Hasda. Despite being the representative of Jharadgram assembly center till now, this time he has been made a candidate from Binpur. According to the new list, Mangal Saren has been made the candidate for Jhargram Assembly. Binpure Ladben Birbaha Hausada. Ajit Mahahat is the candidate in Gopiballpur center and Dulal Murmu is the unchanged candidate in Nayagram. On the other hand, Debnath Hansda of Binpur and Dr. Khaendra Nath Mahahat of Gopiballlabhpur has been left out from the list of candidates. As a result, vigorous efforts have started in the political circles of the district. Veerbaha Hansda, who is optimistic about Binpur's victory, said that the party is with him and no matter where he is made a candidate, he has no problem. He further claims that around Rs. 200 crore worth of developmental work has been done in Jhargram assembly constituency under his initiative. He promised similar development for the residents of Binpur. As a result of this change of candidate, the political circles feel that a new dimension has been added to the election fight in Jhargram district.
