Fearless Bengali, Bankura, Wednesday: “Voting cannot take place without one valid voter. I would like to see Chief Minister মমতা বন্দ্যোপা ধয়া in the Supreme Court for saying this” – commented former CPIM Central Committee member Amiya Patra. He made this comment while speaking at an election meeting organized in support of CPIM candidate Abhay Mukherjee at Rampur Manohar Tala Bazaar in Bankudah city on Wednesday. Amiya Patra says, “They will not go any further, that is why we will have to continue fighting to protect our rights.” He further claimed that the hope of change had made BJP win 77 seats including Baṭṭuṭa. But that raises questions about whether that change actually happened. Attacking Trinamool Congress from the meeting, Amiya Patra said, "Trinamool is a party of thieves. If there is no opportunity to steal, there will be no one in that party." Later, while facing the journalists, he claimed, this election is completely different after 2021 year. In his words, "Public support towards leftists is increasing everywhere in villages, towns and cities. People want freedom from the hands of Trinamool. Looking at the situation, it seems that this time Trinamool will not be able to survive." On the other hand, CPI(M) candidate from Baku center Abhay Mukherjee alleged that there is a clear 'understanding' between TMC and BJP. He said, “Trinamool and BJP – neither will anyone vote for them. If we want to survive with our heads held high, we will have to ensure the victory of the leftists.”
