Last Monday, when the BJP workers went to submit the 7th form to the Maharashtra administration, the BJP workers were beaten up and the 7th form was burnt in front of the police administration. In protest, a massive rally was organized by the BJP on Thursday. Various leaders including Asansol South Assembly MLA Agnimitra Pal, Kulti Assembly MLA Dr. Ajay Podar, BJP state leader Krishnandu Mukherjee, BJP district president Devtanu Bhattacharya, Krishna Prasad were present in this meeting. The leadership from Asansol North assembly again protested and joined the main group at BNR junction.
