According to police sources, the number of the recovered bike was registered in the name of a person named Bibhas Kumar Bhattacharya in Hirapur area of ​​West Vandaman district. But investigators suspect that a fake number plate may have been used on the vehicle. Efforts have already started to find out the actual ownership of the bike by reading its engine and chassis numbers. Investigation further revealed that the address of Barnpur Cell ISP quarter number AB 7/12, Abi type, Nepali Dhaoda has been used in the registration of the bike. Before this he used to live on rent in the streets of Asansol. At present he has been given that quarter by the ISP. But he claims not to recognize someone named Bibhas Kumar Bhattacharya. Dharamvir Kumar said, “I have been living here for 14 years. I don't know anyone by this name. I have no connection with the bike used in the attack.” Police intensified the investigation focusing on the entire incident.
