শিলিগুদী: শিলিগুদির MLA Shankar Ghosh in a hunger strike by raising multiple allegations against the ruling party of the state. This fast program is being carried out in Hatimodha of Shiliguri city.
MLA Shankar Ghosh alleged that Trinamool Congress is creating political obstruction in the allocation and expenditure of MLA Development Fund and the development work of opposition MLAs is being stopped through the administration. Moreover, even after the work order has been issued, in many cases work is not being allowed to start, he claims.
He said that the opposition MLAs are being continuously ignored by various government officials, which is against the government code of conduct, raising allegations against the administration. Apart from this, a demand has also been raised to publish the complete documents of work worth Rs. 10 lakhs in the 330 ward of Shili Gudi assembly center under the State Government's "Solve the Road" project.
Apart from this, this fast program is being conducted to demand a quick and permanent solution to the long standing drinking water problem of Shilguri city, said MLA Shankar Ghosh. BJP Shishir claims that this hunger strike program has been adopted to attract attention by putting forward multiple demands.
