A cyber security and women protection awareness program was organized with school girls at Raniganj police station

Nirbhik Bangla, Raniganj: On Wednesday, a special awareness program was organized for schoolgirls at Ballavpur Ramgopal Saraf Vidya Peeth under the initiative of Raniganj Police Station under Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate. The program discussed important issues like cyber fraud, women's security, prevention of sexual harassment, and child marriage in detail. Present at the event were IC Nasrin Sultana of Nimcha Outpost, IC Partha Chakraborty of Ballavpur Outpost, and school headmaster Shantanu Roy. Police officials made the students aware of various ways to stay safe from cyber fraud. They also advised them to be cautious while using social media, not to share personal information with strangers, and to immediately contact family members, school authorities, or the police if they face any kind of fraud or harassment. The students were also informed about women's safety, awareness against sexual harassment, and the harmful effects of child marriage. The police officials encouraged the girls not to be afraid and to seek help quickly if they encounter any uncomfortable or dangerous situation. Teachers and students of the school welcomed such awareness initiatives. According to them, it is extremely important to make students aware of cyber security, women's safety, and social issues in the present times. The teachers and students thanked Raniganj Police Station for the initiative.
