Allegations of cohabitation with a minor after promising marriage, youth arrested

Nirbhik Bangla, Andal: A young man has been accused of living with a minor girl for a long time after promising to marry her. Later, when the accused refused to marry her, the victim's family filed a complaint against him at the police station. The Andal police station arrested the accused as soon as the complaint was received. According to police sources, the arrested youth's name is Rohit Murmu (21). He lives in the Madhusudanpur Kolyari area of Andal. He was produced in court on Wednesday. The victim's mother said that the accused youth had a love affair with her daughter for a long time. The family members also knew about it. In fact, there was a discussion between the two families that the two would be married after the girl reached the age of majority. It is alleged that during the relationship, the accused youth shared some personal and intimate moments of the two on social media. After that, the youth and his family backed out of the marriage. Later, when the youth refused to marry the minor girl, a written complaint was filed on behalf of the family at the Andal police station. The police started an investigation based on the complaint and arrested the accused youth. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
