In just a month and a half, two secondary school candidates from a girls school in Salanpur block got married and started the block administration from the Additional District Magistrate of Asansol. Surprisingly, in both the cases, despite having the privilege of having a girl child, the school teachers did not know that such incidents were happening. On Tuesday, this time in Roopnarayanpur, the family of a secondary examination candidate and minor girl made arrangements for her marriage. On the afternoon before the marriage, the Additional District Magistrate of the Education Department of the district received this news and ordered the Bido of Salanpur to take immediate arrangements. Fido also informed the Child Welfare Department. Bido gave the belief that with the cooperation of the local police administration, extension officers of the block were sent there. Representatives of the Child Welfare Committee were also called. Finally, they convinced the family members to stop the marriage. Additional District Magistrate of the Education Department, Shanjay Pal said that in the same school, a few days ago, after receiving the news that another minor marriage had taken place, everyone came together to stop it. He said that under the Kanyashree Project, one of the school students works as a nodal officer. They should also think about this. Chairman of the District Child Welfare Committee, Parameshwar Khan said that after knowing the whole matter, we have taken a written warning from the parents of that family not to marry them. We handed over the girl to them and asked them to bring her to the district office within a week. We are sending written instructions for the same. In the case of that marriage, BID department officials and police administration officials were also involved.
