Ruckus at rail crossing: Attack on police station over loudspeaker message, vehicles vandalized

Asansol, Following the instructions of West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, the Jahangiri Mohalla police of Asansol had come to give administrative message to the people of Muslim community living in the rail crossing area regarding the loud loudspeakers. After this message, a round of meetings started in many temples and mosques in the rail crossing area. Meanwhile the situation suddenly became tense. It is alleged that some anti-social elements reached Jahangiri Mohalla police station in large numbers and created ruckus and vandalism there. The miscreants not only caused damage to the police premises but also vandalized the surrounding areas. Many vehicles were targeted during the incident, including police vehicles as well as vehicles of common people. An atmosphere of chaos was created in the area. As soon as information about the incident was received, a large number of police forces reached the spot and started controlling the situation. At present, police are deployed in the entire area and the situation is being monitored. The administration is preparing to identify the people involved in the disturbance and take action.
