Police and students take to the streets against drugs, spreading awareness in Ukhrul

Fearless Bengali, উখরা: On the occasion of International Anti-Drug Day, উখরা outpost police organized an awareness program on Friday. On this occasion, a colorful anti-drug awareness rally was organized with the students of Ukhra Kunj Bihari Institution. Leading the rally was Outpost Incharge Preetham Paul and other police officers of the outpost. Starting from the school premises, the Reality Route traverses various important roads. The students held placards and festivals bearing various anti-drug messages. Through slogans, they called for removing the curse of drugs from the society and raised the message of creating a drug-free society. It is informed by the police that the main objective of this program is to make the youth aware about the ill effects of drugs. Drugs have a devastating impact on a person's life, family and society. Therefore, an initiative has been taken to protect future generations from this social disease by increasing awareness among students. School teachers, police personnel and a large number of students participated in this program. The collective message of all was - "Not drugs, but healthy life is the promise of tomorrow."
