সালানপুরে পুলিশি অভিযান: অবৈধ পাথর খাদান চালানোর অভিযোগে ধৃত ৪, পলাতক ১

Nirbhik Bangala, Salanpur, 8 June: Despite the administration taking a tough stand against illegal activities after the change in government in the state, Roopnarayanpur police arrested four people on charges of running illegal stone quarry in Salanpur. On Monday, the accused were taken to Asansol court. Police sources said that there is one more accused absconding in this incident. According to police sources, on the basis of a specific complaint, Roopnaraipur police raided various areas of Salanpur block on Sunday. Four people were arrested during the operation. The names of the accused are র্ঞ্জিত সিন, বিশম রাই, মধুসূদন মন্দল and রাকশ কুমার সিনগ alias Joginder Singh. All of them are said to be residents of Salanpur block. While investigating, the police found out that one of the accused associated with this gang, Miri Ghosh, is currently absconding. Search is being conducted in various areas in search of him. According to local sources, all the accused had illegal stone quarries at various places in Jeetpur-Uttarampur Panchayat area. These mines were being operated for a long time without complaints, government permission or necessary permits. As a result, allegations have been raised that apart from huge revenue loss to the government, there is also serious damage to the environment. According to police sources, to find out who else is involved in the illegal mining scam and whether any larger network is working behind it, an application for 7 days police protection will be filed against the arrested. In the interest of investigation, all aspects of the incident are being looked into. According to sources, the police have filed three separate cases under different sections in this incident. The accused has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing to trace the entire network of illegal mining.
