After the case was filed at the police station, two officers of Raniganj police station, Pritam Pal and Parvez Alam were named in the investigation. The investigators viewed multiple CCTV footages of the area and also collected surrounding evidence. With the help of technology, they tracked the mobile tower location of the accused and reached Andal. Ultimately three people are arrested while hiding on a goods train in Andal area. The names of the accused are Shamim Mandal, Taj Mohammad Khan and Rafiq Khan. All of them are residents of Bankudu district and there are multiple cases against them, according to police sources. Police said that the accused will be presented in the court and a police protection application will be given and it is being investigated whether anyone else is involved in the theft scam.
