Shyam Das, Nirbhik Bengali,Salanpur: To prevent noise pollution and control reckless biking, a special campaign has been conducted against illegal silencer pipes by the Kulti Traffic Police. On Wednesday, this operation was conducted in Pratappur Mor area under Roopnaarayanpur police station of Salanpur police station. According to police sources, many bikers are increasing noise pollution in the area by using modified or illegal silencers that produce 'rattling' noise and are causing inconvenience to the common people. This operation is conducted only on the basis of complaint. During the operation, illegal silencers were removed from four motorbikes. Necessary legal action including fine has been taken against the concerned bikers. It has been informed by the traffic police that such operations have been intensified especially to warn the youth and bikers. In future, such campaigns against noise pollution and traffic law violations will continue.
