Several serious allegations were raised in a press conference organized at the party office adjacent to Asansol bus stand on Sunday afternoon. Congress Minority Cell President Shah Alam Khan said in the press conference that on the election day, an incident of stone pelting at the car of BJP candidate Agnimitro Pal took place in Rahmatnagar area, due to which the glass of the car was broken. Regarding the incident, former councilor and former MLA of Rani Ganj Sohraab Ali claimed that some evil-doers asked for permission to throw stones using the roof of Asghar Ali's house but were not given it. According to his allegation, Asghar Ali has been arrested in connection with this incident despite having no role in it. An allegation is made on behalf of the Congress, among those against whom there is a direct allegation in this incident, one of them is a relative of Sohrab Ali, although the police has still not arrested him. As a result, questions are being raised about the role of police. In protest against this role of the police, the Congress leadership has called for a protest program in front of the Asansol Police Commissionerate office soon.
