ভোটের আগে কড়া নজরদারি: পশ্চিমবঙ্গে বাইক র‍্যালি ও চলাচলে কড়া নিষেধাজ্ঞা

Nirbhik Bengali, Asansol: Election Commission of India took strict steps to conduct the assembly elections of 2026 in a peaceful, free and fair manner. Two days before the voting, several restrictions have been issued on the use of motorcycles across the state. According to the guidelines, any kind of bike rally will be completely prohibited two days before the voting. Besides, a ban has been issued on riding motorcycles from 6 pm to 6 am every day. However, this rule may be exempted due to emergency or family needs. During day time, i.e. from morning 6 am to evening 6 pm, bike riding will be prohibited. However, this rule does not apply in case of medical emergency, family need or transportation of school students. On the day of voting, family members will be able to ride a bike as a procession to go to vote. In case of special need exemption, written permission will have to be taken from the local police station. The Chief Electoral Officer of the state has directed all the district administrations and police to strictly implement this instruction. This step has been taken so that no atmosphere of violence or fear is created during the elections.
