Ukhra Post Office of West Bengal made a record, 400 new accounts opened in a day

Asansol: West Bengal Ukhda Post Office of Asansol Sub-Division has created a new record by opening 400 new accounts in a day. This achievement was achieved by merging several sub post offices under Ukhda Head Post Office. This success was celebrated by the post office on Thursday. On this occasion, SSPO of Asansol sub-division Devraj Shetty, SBIP of Raniganj division Kanailal Sharma and postmaster of Ukhra post office Dharamraj Pal and other officers were present. Ukhda Post Office Postmaster Dharamraj Pal said that this success has been possible only with the cooperation of all the colleagues. SSPO Devraj Shetty said that the main objective of the postal department is to make the people of rural areas aware about savings. He said that many schemes of the post office are quite attractive and profitable. He specifically mentioned “Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana” and said that it is a special and safe savings scheme for daughters. He also said that post office is one of the safest mediums for investment. Devraj Shetty said that many new schemes and initiatives are being taken by the department to further strengthen people's trust in the post office.
