Fearless Bengali, Asansol: West Bengal Government's Women and Child Welfare and Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul held an important meeting with West Bengal District Magistrate S. Ponnambalam on Saturday. In this meeting, BJP MLAs from eight assembly constituencies of West Bengal district along with senior officials of various administrative offices of the district were present. There will be detailed discussion on the development plan and various administrative matters of the district in the coming days. After the meeting, Minister Agnimitra Pal, while facing the journalists, said that the first phase of the meeting was held today in the presence of the District Magistrate and senior officials of various government departments. He said that all the MLAs of the new assembly centers of the district have been given a list of contact numbers of the officials of the concerned office, so that in future, they can get prompt administrative support in solving various problems including water, roads, street lighting etc. in their areas. The minister further said that before the elections, BJP had promised that if the BJP government is formed in Bengal, a “double engine government” will be started. According to that promise, now development work will be carried forward at a rapid pace in the entire state as well as in West Bengal district. In his words, today's meeting is the first step towards speedy implementation of that development process.
