Bengali actor Soham Mallik accused of cheating, film investor files FIR

Kolkata, A businessman from Arambagh in Hooghly district of West Bengal, Sheikh Sahid Imam, has filed a complaint of cheating and intimidation against Bengali film actor and former Trinamool Congress MLA Soham Mallik at the Charu Market police station. According to the complaint, in 2021, Sheikh Sahid Imam had made a financial investment for the production of one of Soham Mallik's films. At that time, the film was named 'Manikjore', which was later changed to 'Pakha Dekha Rakhai'. The complainant claims that the film was released in theaters and did good business, but his share of the profit has not been given to him yet. Sheikh Sahid alleges that when he demanded his money, Soham Mallik kept avoiding him. He also alleged that one of Soham's assistants in the basement of South City Mall in Kolkata threatened to kill him when he asked for his money. The complaint states that he was warned that if he demanded money again or tried to pressure the MLA, he would face serious consequences and be embroiled in legal troubles. Based on the complaint filed at the Charu Market police station, the police have started investigating the case. So far, there has been no official response from actor Soham Mallik on these allegations. Only after the police investigation will the actual situation in the case become clear.
