Under the Amrit 2.0 project, the Kulthi Vidhan Sabha has inaugurated a drinking water project worth ₹7.23 crore.

Nirbheek Bengali, Kulti, 26 June: Under the Amruth 2.0 project, multiple drinking water supply projects have been formally launched in Kulti assembly area at a cost of about Rs 7.23 crore. On Friday, Minister of Public Works (PWD) and Public Health Works (PHE) Department of West Bengal Government, Dr. Arjay Kumar Poddar inaugurated these developmental projects. Under the project, new drinking water pipelines will be installed in many areas including Kulti College, Kulti Girls School, Rakta, Kenduwa Bazar, Subamspada, Barakar Hospital, Jagatdihi, Chalbalpur-Phunuri, Akwanbagan, Veeridangal-Karimdangal-Ranchi villages. Besides, the renovation work of the old Clear Water Reservoir (CWR) of Barakar and Ramnagar has also started. Minister Dr. Ajya Kumar Podar said, if this project is implemented, the drinking water supply system of the area will become stronger and more effective and thousands of residents will get pure drinking water regularly. He further said that the state government is committed to provide good quality drinking water to every citizen. He commented that these initiatives taken under the Amruth 2.0 project will play an important role in the overall development and public welfare of the area. Emphasizing on maintaining the quality of work and the stipulated time, the Minister directed the contractors to complete the project on time. He warned that if the work is not completed within the stipulated time, the concerned contractors will be blacklisted. Besides calling upon the departmental engineers to work fearlessly and safely, he assured the full cooperation of the state government. Executive and assistant engineers of the Public Health Department, Deputy Assistant Engineers, public representatives, administrative officers and a large number of local residents were present in the event.
