Nirbhik Bangla, Asansol, June 19: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Asansol Railway Division has achieved significant success under the ongoing 'Operation Alert' to prevent unauthorized activities at the railway station. On Thursday, a special search operation recovered a large quantity of illicit liquor and arrested one person.
According to the office of the Senior Divisional Security Commissioner of Eastern Railway's Asansol Division, a team from the West Post of RPF recovered a consignment of illicit liquor being transported illegally during a special surveillance and search operation.
A significant quantity of illicit liquor was seized during the operation, and one person involved in the illegal transportation was arrested. The arrested person has been handed over to the concerned excise department for further legal proceedings.
The railway authorities have stated that regular operations and searches will be conducted by the RPF to ensure the safety of passengers and keep the railway station free from unauthorized activities.
The RPF has also appealed to passengers to remain vigilant. If any suspicious activity is noticed at the railway station, passengers are requested to immediately inform the railway helpline number 139.
