Nirbhik Bangla, Jamuria: Today, Jamuria MLA Dr. Bijan Mukherjee held an important meeting and inspection with the section engineer of the concerned department regarding the possibility and necessity of constructing a new bridge in front of the Akhalpur bridge.
The need for a new bridge was discussed in detail, considering the long-standing demand of the common people of the area and the increasing traffic movement. During the inspection, the current condition of the bridge, the pressure of traffic movement, and various aspects of future communication system development were reviewed.
MLA Dr. Bijan Mukherjee said that if a new bridge is built, the communication system of the area will be further improved and the daily commute of the common people will be much easier and safer. At the same time, it will have a positive impact on business, trade, and overall socio-economic development.
He expressed hope that with the cooperation of the concerned department, the necessary administrative steps will be taken soon and the implementation of the project will solve the long-standing problems of the area.
Local residents also expressed their opinion in favor of constructing a new bridge during today's inspection and meeting, and expressed their expectation of starting work soon.
