After the incident, Kalyan Bandyopadhyay alleged that BJP workers and supporters deliberately attacked him. He strongly condemned this incident and demanded strict action against the culprits. On the other hand, this allegation has been completely denied by the BJP. The party claims that common people protested spontaneously and this incident has no connection with BJP.
