Fearless Bengali, Shyam Das, Asansol On the occasion of the 127th birth anniversary of the rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, a 'Varnadhaya Prabhatpheri' was organized in the Jamudiyar Churulia area of West Bengal district on Tuesday morning. Starting from Kabir's mausoleum, this procession circumambulates the entire area and ends again at the mausoleum. On this day, the 46th Nazrul Fair and Cultural Program of New Angi was also inaugurated under the initiative of Kazi Nazrul Islam University. University professor and researcher Uday Bandopadhyay was present at the event. Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor Dr. Uddhav Bandhopa Dhaya said, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose once said, Nazrul Islam was a poet who went to jail for writing poetry and when necessary, held a gun. He further said, Nazrul Islam has enriched Bengali literature by writing all types of poems and songs and poets like him are world famous. On the occasion of Churulia's birth anniversary, various cultural programs and fairs have been organized throughout the day.
