Landlords Dibyendu Chatterjee and Nilesh Sadhura said that their land was registered with ICL in 2018. But even after so many years, I did not get a job instead of land. They complained that they repeatedly applied and contacted various departments of ICL but did not get any solution. As a result, it has become difficult to run a family due to financial crisis. That is why they were forced to join the movement, said the protesters. The protesters claim that their protests will continue until the ECL authorities give clear assurance. Due to the agitation by landowners, colliery production and coal transportation came to a standstill on Monday morning. On the other hand, as per colliery sources, as per the current ICL rules, mutation of land is required to get a job in exchange of land. Those who have raised the demand for employment in MIC Colliery, their matter has already been sent to the higher officials of ICL. The problem may be solved within the next one month, sources claim.
