১২ ঘণ্টা কাজ ও কম মজুরির অভিযোগে শ্যাম সেল অ্যান্ড পাওয়ারে ঠিকা শ্রমিকদের বিক্ষোভ

Fearless Bengali, Jamudiya: Contract workers joined the protest on Tuesday morning in the CRM unit of Shyam Cell and Power Limited in the Bhootbangala area. A large number of workers joined the protest outside the factory putting forward various demands. Due to the protest, a tense situation was created in the factory for some time. The protesting workers complain that they are being made to work for 12 hours instead of the prescribed 8 hours, but are not being paid appropriate wages accordingly. Apart from this, workers also face problems while taking monthly leave. Complaints were raised that the factory lacked adequate security arrangements and necessary infrastructure. Workers said that they have been complaining about these problems to the authorities for a long time, but no permanent solution has been found. In protest against this, they took part in the protest on Tuesday. After receiving news of the incident, officials of the factory authorities reached the spot and discussed with the workers. It is said that the workers have been assured that their claims will be considered. Presently the situation is under control.
