Asansol: Islam preacher and Maulana Muzaffar Hussain Razvi has openly expressed support for the state government's action against illegal madrassas in West Bengal. He said that the religion of Islam never allows building a mosque or madrassa on illegal land. Maulana Razvi said that if a person illegally occupies land and builds a mosque or madrassa, then he is wrong and Islam does not support such action. He clearly said that mosques and madrassas should be built only on legal and purchased land. He further said that even if a person wants to donate land, it is still necessary to sell the land duly as per Islamic rules, even if the land worth crores is sold symbolically for just one rupee. Only after this will it be considered appropriate to build a religious institution on that land. Maulana said that people of the society can selflessly cooperate in the construction of mosques and madrassas as per their capacity and there is no restriction in this. On the issue of offering Namaz on the road, he said that this happens only in case of compulsion, when there is less space for worshipers in mosques. He said that Islam teaches to offer namaz in a clean place, whereas the roads are often full of filth and impurity. Therefore mosque is the most suitable place for namaz. Regarding the loudspeaker, Maulana Razvi said that it is used only for a few minutes to inform the worshipers about the time of Namaz. He said that if the government imposes any rule regarding noise control, then people do not need to panic, but should follow and support the government's order.
