Nirbhik Bengali,Raniganj: On Friday, there was widespread excitement over allegations of a shocking incident in a primary school in Rani Ganj city of West Bengal district. Parents and local residents were outraged over the incident. Allegedly, a class 3 student of Ashok Palli Primary School under Raniganj police station was molested by the teacher of the school, Prashant Khan. As soon as the matter came to light, there was excitement in the school hall and gradually the parents and local people started protesting. A section of parents claimed that there was uneasiness among the students regarding the accused teacher for a long time. Fearing some of his behavior, many students stopped coming to school and complaints were raised. After the incident came to light, the situation became heated and the local people became angry and demanded strict punishment against the accused teacher. To bring the situation under control, Rani Ganj police station quickly reached the spot and took away the accused teacher from the public anger. Meanwhile, the head teacher of the school has also strongly condemned this incident. He said that the allegation should be properly investigated and appropriate action should be taken against the accused – this is his demand. There is still tension in the area over the incident and the guardians of the palace are demanding strict punishment for the culprit.
