One arrested with 14 kg silver jewelery from Barachak railway station

Asansol, West Bengal RPF (Railway Protection Force) has arrested a suspicious person at Barachak Railway Station in Asansol. The man was waiting for the train with a bag in his hand, when the RPF team became suspicious of him and detained him and searched him. During the search, about 14 kg of silver jewelery was recovered from the bag. When RPF asked the accused for valid papers and documents related to these jewellery, he could not give any satisfactory answer. Even during interrogation, he kept trying to mislead the team. After this, the RPF team brought him to Barachak RPF post in Kumarpur, where he is being interrogated thoroughly. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, RPF also informed the Income Tax Department. As soon as the information was received, the Income Tax team reached the spot and started examining the seized jewelery in detail. At present, apart from RPF, the Income Tax Department team is also jointly investigating this entire matter. Along with this, efforts are also being made to find out from where the accused brought silver ornaments on such a large scale and where he was going to take them and to whom to hand them over. Besides, it is also being investigated whether there is any big network or foreign connection behind this case.
