Like every year, this year too, under the initiative of Basirhat Ramnambmi Samiti, Ramnambmi Padayatra started with thousands of people in Basirhat city. Basirhat city and Basirhat Mahakumar, people from different parts have gathered in this procession. From Basirhat Sonpurkur market, crossing Chaumatha Road, take Shaheed Deen Majumdar Road and go to Takki Road, the procession will end with thousands of people joining it. The police security is an eyesore and the administration is on alert to ensure that any untoward incident does not happen.
