Kulatti, West Bengal: The date of state assembly elections for 2026 has not been announced yet. Before that, like other districts of the state, central forces also reached West Bengal district. Under Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate, a total of 7 companies of central forces have been deployed in Asansol industrial area.
Route march of central forces started from yesterday. On Tuesday afternoon around 5 pm, a route march was organized under the initiative of Nagad Niyamatpur Police. Under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge of Niyamatpur police station, Mr. Kumar, this route march went through Niyamatpur New Road, via Lithuria Road, till Chinakudi Bazaar.
According to police sources, the march on this route was organized to maintain normal law and order situation in the area before the elections and to convey the message of safety among the common people. Armed central forces and police officers are seen roaming the streets.
According to the locals, the presence of the Central Army has created a feeling of security in the area. According to administration sources, such route march will continue in various areas of the industrial area in the coming days also.State
