শ্রমিকনগর কলোনিতে জল ও নিকাশী সমস্যায় ক্ষোভ

Nirbheek Bengali, Shyam Das, Durgapur: There has been extreme anger over the problem of drinking water and drainage in a part of Shramik Nagar Colony of ward number 41 of Durgapur city. Residents complain that they are not getting adequate drinking water for a long time. He was forced to take up the initiative of setting up a submarine but faced hurdles in the administration. Even though a pressure pump was installed, muddy water is still coming out from there, the locals complain. Residents of the area said that non-availability of clean drinking water on a regular basis is causing problems in their daily activities. Besides, due to lack of drain, dirty water has to be kept inside the house, due to which there is a danger of mosquito infestation and spread of various water borne diseases. The former councilor said in this regard that a small number of families living in the area were not given permission to submersibles. But he assured that the work on the drain will start very soon. Political turmoil has started centering on the incident. Bharatiya Janata Party has become involved in this issue. Their claim is that a poor picture of civil services is coming to the fore in various wards of the city and as a result of the indifference of the administration, common people are suffering.
