Shyam Das Nirbheek Bangla Asansol: Asansol Durgapur Police Commissioner - Before every major festival, a peace committee meeting is organized in the police station and police premises. In continuation of that, Mahashivaratri, one of the main religious festivals of the Hindu community, is going to be celebrated across the state along with the entire country on 15th February. To ensure that the festival is completed peacefully and in an orderly manner, a peace committee meeting was organized last night in the police station premises of Asansol, West Bengal district. Present in the meeting were Commissionerate's ACP (Kulati) Sheikh Jaffad, Officer-in-Charge of Police Department Meghnath Mandal along with representatives of various social and political organizations of the area. It is specially informed that, on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, going out for celebrations and playing DJ will be completely prohibited. Apart from this, any exciting song or song which can spoil the communal harmony will not be played. Emphasis is laid on maintaining law and order, maintaining normal traffic and maintaining mutual harmony among all communities. The police administration has sought everyone's cooperation so that the festival can be completed in a peaceful atmosphere.
