Shyam Das, Nirbhik Bengali, Durgapur: To ensure the safety of women passengers and to increase awareness, a special operation was conducted by the Traffic Guard at দুর্গাপুর bus stand in West Bengal district. In this program organized under the direction of Asansol-Durgarhpur Police Commissioner, the traffic department officers directly boarded the passenger bus and talked to the women passengers. In this awareness campaign, various important issues related to safety of women while traveling are highlighted. Traffic officers explain in detail how to get quick police help if faced with an uncomfortable situation, how to contact the emergency number and what precautions need to be taken for one's own safety. According to police sources, to ensure the safety of women passengers, such awareness campaigns will be conducted in the coming days at various important bus stands and populated areas.
