Even after the local people came to control the fire, after the incident, the local residents protested around the electricity department employee. According to local sources, this day around 5 o'clock there was a short circuit in a transformer. As a result, a dustbin under the transformer catches fire. Allegedly, as the dustbin was not cleaned for a long time, the fire spread rapidly due to the accumulated debris there and within moments the transformer got burnt. Seeing the horrific scene of fire, panic spread in the area. Simultaneously the information was given to Niyamatpur police station of Kulati police station. With the help of police and local residents, it was initially possible to bring the fire under control. After the fire was mostly under control, the electricity department workers reached the spot with an electricity van. At that time, angry locals demonstrated against the electricity department employee. Their complaint is that despite being informed about the problems with the transformer for the last four days, no one came from the electricity department. As a result of that negligence, this fire incident occurred. Later, an engine from the fire department from Asansol reached the spot, took stock of the situation and confirmed that the fire was completely under control. There is no news of any casualty in the incident, but there has been anger in the area over the negligence of the electricity department.
