According to police sources, a suspicious person was arrested from Shankarpur area under Basirhat police station late on Wednesday night. After further investigation, a total of 1,250 bottles of banned coffee syrup were recovered from him. Police said the estimated market value of the recovered coffee syrup is lakhs of rupees. According to preliminary investigation, the police estimated that this huge quantity of coffee syrup was being taken to Bangladesh for smuggling. Due to the alertness of the police, it is possible to rescue them before they commit adultery. The name of the arrested accused is Hadiur Zaman Sardar. His house is in Jinka village of Matiya police station. The accused confessed to the police that he was associated with this trafficking ring for a long time. The accused was arrested and presented in Barasat district court on Thursday. Police are investigating whether anyone else is involved in this incident.
