Late on Saturday night, about 8 to 10 temporary shops were gutted in fire in the area adjacent to Bogra Chatti junction on Jamudiyar National Highway No. 19. Local shopkeepers are facing huge financial losses in this incident. According to local sources, around 12 o'clock in the night, a fire was suddenly seen burning from several temporary shops located along the National Highway near Bogarda Chatti Mor, adjacent to Ward No. 32. Within moments the fire spread to the nearby shops. The white smoke and black smoke of the fire create panic in the entire area. After receiving the news, Sripur police station under Jamudiya police station immediately reached the spot. After this, when the fire brigade was informed, several engines reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a long effort. But by then the furniture, food items and other items inside the shops are completely destroyed. Initially it is suspected that the fire may have started from a short circuit, although the fire brigade and police have started investigating the incident. Fortunately, there is no news of any casualty in this fire. The shopkeepers affected by the incident have become disoriented. Their demand is that the damage should be assessed quickly and appropriate compensation should be arranged by the administration.
