, Fearless Bengali Asansol: A total of 109 Inspector level officers have been transferred in West Bengal Police. This change is considered administratively important before the assembly elections. This list contains the names of many officers of Asansol-Durgarhpur Police Commissionerate. Inspector-in-charge of Asansol South police station, Kundu, has been transferred to the Special Branch department. Raniganj police station inspector-in-charge Vikas Dutta has been sent to Chandannagar police commissionerate. On the other hand, Vipal Pati has again returned to Asansol-Durgarhpur Police Commissionerate. A section of the administrative machinery believes that this reshuffle of the police is a part of the administration's preparations to maintain law and order ahead of the elections.
