* On Tuesday afternoon, an angry Asansol South Legislative Assembly member Agnimitro Pal came to visit the broken bridge on Damodhar river of Hirapur police station. He told that last year in the month of May-June, when PH water pipeline was carried over Damodhar river, the bridge collapsed, it has been almost a year but till now the bridge has not been constructed, meanwhile due to lack of water, the local women came to take bath in the river below the broken bridge, risking their lives. After the breakdown of the PH pipe line, there is a problem of water supply in various villages. Water was being supplied by tankers from Asansol Municipal Corporation, but due to the outstanding balance of the water supply, the water supply has been stopped. After the agitation, water is being supplied to some villages. Minister Mallya Ghatak said that approval has been given to make the bridge but the bridge has not been made yet. If any accident occurs while the village residents are taking bath under the broken bridge, then the Minister and the Mayor will have to take responsibility for it. In front of the police, sand is being stolen from every river of the state, the path of the rivers is being changed by stealing the roads. Due to sand being stolen from Damodar river, the pillars of the bridge are hanging in the void. The administration has no responsibility for that. He will apply to the District Magistrate to stop bathing under the broken bridge.
